萬力研究員于2010年進入浙江大學(xué)生命科學(xué)研究院黃俊教授實驗室攻讀博士學(xué)位，期間主要利用細胞生物學(xué)手段研究DNA損傷修復(fù)的分子機制。隨后，前往英國弗朗斯西克里克研究所，加入了Jesper Svejstrup（英國皇家科學(xué)學(xué)會和醫(yī)學(xué)會院士）實驗室從事博士后研究。在此期間，曾到劍橋大學(xué)Manu Hegde（英國皇家科學(xué)學(xué)會院士）實驗室進行訪問學(xué)習(xí)，主要從事天然免疫應(yīng)答與蛋白質(zhì)合成相關(guān)分子機制的研究。2022年10月，萬力研究員在中國科學(xué)院廣州生物醫(yī)藥與健康研究院成立了自己的研究團隊。本團隊采用了細胞生物學(xué)、分子生物學(xué)與生物化學(xué)、免疫學(xué)等學(xué)科的交叉滲透研究方式，并結(jié)合體外翻譯技術(shù)、定量蛋白質(zhì)組學(xué)、CRISPR介導(dǎo)的基因敲除、核糖體分析技術(shù)等創(chuàng)新手段，系統(tǒng)性研究天然免疫應(yīng)答與蛋白質(zhì)合成的分子機制。萬力研究員先后主持了兩個國家級項目，并主持或參與了多項省、市級重要科研項目，曾獲得的浙江省自然科學(xué)一等獎和EMBO-Long Term Fellowship。
